it’s seemingly written for and by a bunch of acne-ridden, cliche-spewin’, comic book superhero idolizin’ pubescent little boys circle jerking to wonder woman and that black woman from star trek in between rounds of halo and smash brothers. still, in between all the vomit and headache inducing hanna-barbera garbage and innumerable comic book adaptations lay some solid choices. i’m pleased by the high rankings of home movies and both cowboy bebop and neon genesis evangelion - the only two anime series worth any consideration (sorry dustin, but lain really did kind of blow). but why all the theatrical cartoons? i know looney tunes, popeye, et. al. were repackaged and sold to television stations, but that doesn’t constitute a series. oh well.
